the nitty gritty

This is my own personal dietary journey. Diagnosed in my late twenties with type 1 diabetes, I have begun trying to manage the condition with as little synthetic insulin as possible. Through a low carb, low saturated fat diet and daily exercise, I hope to achieve a healthy balance. I am in no way recommending this diet for anyone else. General wisdom is that, before undertaking any significant dietary changes, you should consult your GP or other health care practitioner. It is important to stress that NO carbohydrates is, in my opinion, not healthy and not sensible. I aim to cut out processed and high GI carb, and balance my consumption with exercise.
